Background and purpose: Chronic use of materials plays an important impact on cognitive structure and personality. This research was done with the purpose of investigating the relationship between the anxiety and craving index induction. Methods: This study was done in the cross-sectional study, Eighty (N=80) men (between the ages of 18 and 39, average age=27/9) the highest and lowest scores on the Beck Anxiety Inventory with respect to a given cut-off point gained selected for comparison were assigned into two groups. Data collection was cross sectional, so Beck anxiety questionnaire (response rate=94%) and Craving (response rate=89%) were used. The obtained tests were analyzed with Pearson and T test. Also qualitative data resulted from demographic evaluations were coded and were analyzed by instrument of analyzing qualitative data, Atlas.ti5.2. Results: Results showed that higher rates of symptoms of craving in Anxiety group than the other group. Conclusion: The findings of this study, while having applicable aspects in this domain, can be helpful in planning supplementary remedial procedures.
