Objective: The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between problem-solving styles and nurses’ empathy in Sanandaj, Iran. Method: Design of this study is descriptive-correlative. In order to test research hypotheses, 120 nurses are randomly selected from hospitals of Sanandaj. All participants are tested both with la-Monika empathy questionnaire for empathy with patients and problem-solving styles questionnaire. In addition to descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis are used. Results: The Results show that there is a significant relationship between problem-solving styles and nurses’ empathy. Problem-solving styles significantly predict nurses’ empathy.
